Our sensationalist media is partly to blame for this reporting. Sure, while Islamophobia remains a specter in the West, it is important that we not overstate the problem; under-reporting and overstating are both volatile issues. I believe that Congressman Ellison strikes the right balance here and demonstrates true Muslim spirit of tolerance.

There are 6000 Muslims serving in the US armed forces and there are 7 Muslim Chaplains also serving -- I am sure they will be thrilled by the hate they see toward their religion by ignorant politicians like like Congressman King!
